Diigo Finale

What I like about Diigo is that you can organize through tags and keep your bookmarks in order. There isn't a single thing I dislike about Diigo. I personally wouldn't use social bookmarking because I don't like sharing things to the outside world, even if it's a useful/helpful website. I think the social features of Diigo helped me understand the full potential it has and how useful it can be as a tool. I think I learned from both my individual efforts and social viewing.

ILP #2 Participation Learning Canvas

Canvas seems pretty similar to Blackboard. But it is simple, and easy to use. While taking the course I learned how to add files, add students, put them into groups, make tests/quizzes, set up grading tools, and create discussion boards. Learning how to set up groups seems easy. With Canvas having a random group assignment feature makes things easier on the teacher and the students. The only feature that seems tedious is inviting students to your course. If there is a list in the invite section and there is no comma separating the students an error will appear. Canvas will also embed YouTube videos that have been hyperlinked.

Diigo 4

Technology that helps students with disabilities is extremely important in the classroom. Without this kind of tech teachers would hit a road block with students.

#7 Adaptive Technology!

Adaptive technology is technology that helps children with learning disabilities or physical disabilities. Some types of adaptive technologies are things like text to speech software to read the material on a computer screen to them, braille printers to help those without eye site, and the productivity tools that can help anyone can help those with disabilities.

I have had people in my classes in grade school with learning disabilities. I do not recall them having any sort of technology to assist them. That and for some reason my school kept those students away from the main student body.

I don't see adaptive technology as a problem in the classroom. The only problem I would see with that kind of technology would be it becoming a distraction to the other students, but that isn't something I foresee as a problem.
